Microdermabrasion – Case Study

After completing a client consultation/consent form, the procedure began with a full skin consultation my
main concern was my acne. As I am in my 30’s and still getting breakouts around my chin, jaw line and forehead I was feeling quite distressed and it was having a detrimental effect on my well-being .
Linda explained I had hormonal acne, and that stress exacerbated the situation and as I am at currently studying at Uni and working full time, I was feeling pretty run down. Linda recommended I commence with a course of 6 treatments one a week for six weeks.
With each treatment my skin improved dramatically. I have been so happy with the result. I am now booked in fortnightly after a month’s break and will be continuing monthly after that just for maintenance, to keep things under control. Tara came to me with a moderate case of adult acne which unlike a teenager’s oily t-zone break out, occurs
predominantly on the forehead, chin, jaw line and neck. Hormones and stress were responsible for breakouts around the chin area and larger pustules on the jaw line and upper neck.
Tara’s treatment procedure consisted of cleansing the skin with AHAVA mineral cleansing milk followed by a
light chemical peel to dissolve sebum and cellular debris while decongesting pores and reducing irritation. This followed with the microdermabrasion, “ a non-invasive, gentle process using crystals accelerated onto the skin’s surface to abrade layers of dead and damaged skin cells On completion of the abrasive process a vacuum suction whisks away the fired crystals and unwanted abraded skin particles leaving the skin smoother, brighter, firmer and with a course of procedures blemish free.” The procedure was completed with a vitamin enriched leave-on hydration mask and sunblock.
